Tibor Rathonyi

Tibor Rathonyi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Tibor currently holds a position as a Senior Vice President at Ookla since September 2022.

Before joining Ookla, Tibor was the CEO and Founder of CellRebel from 2018 to 2022.

Prior to their entrepreneurial stint, Tibor worked at Ericsson for a significant period, starting in 2008. At Ericsson, they held several roles including VP - Head of Software & Performance, Region South East Asia & Oceania, where they were responsible for sales of Ericsson's software portfolio in the region and heading up the unit driving network performance engagements. Tibor also served as the Head of Network Performance & Senior Engagement Manager, Senior Consultant, Sales Project Manager - RAN Sales Programs, RAN Sales Support Engineer, and Network Consultant during their tenure at Ericsson.

Before joining Ericsson, Tibor worked as a Software Developer at Netresult Consulting AB in 2007 and as a Research Engineer at Ericsson Mobile Platforms in 2006.

Tibor Rathonyi pursued their education at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University from 2001 to 2007, obtaining a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering. In addition, from 2005 to 2006, they enrolled in Master Courses at the University of Buenos Aires, focusing on Economics and Engineering.
