Martin Peniak has a diverse range of work experience in the technology field. Martin started their career as a Researcher at NVIDIA in 2012, before moving on to work as a Lecturer of GPU programming at Plymouth University. During their time there, they also worked on the Poeticon++ project. In 2014, Martin joined Cortexica Vision Systems as a Parallel Computing Software Engineer, specializing in rapid prototyping and exploring novel applications of visual search using emerging technologies. Martin later took on the role of Head of Innovation, where they were responsible for securing funding, establishing collaborations, and encouraging innovation within the company. In 2019, Martin joined Oosto as a Senior Innovation Engineer, where they are currently working.
Martin Peniak has an extensive education history. From 2008 to 2014, they attended the University of Plymouth and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cognitive Robotics. Before that, from 2005 to 2008, they also attended the University of Plymouth and earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honors and Distinction in Computing. Additionally, in 2007, Martin briefly studied at The University of Manchester, focusing on Astronomy and Astrophysics with a specialization in Life in The Universe. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Certificate of Professional Development in Learning and Teaching for General Teaching Associates from the Educational Development and Learning Technologies Institution in 2009.
