Ilari Mäkinen

Ilari Mäkinen is an accomplished business professional with extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and digital transformation across various sectors. Currently serving as a Business Controller in Retail Banking at OP Financial Group, Ilari leads a team focused on agile reporting and collaborates with business tribes. As an unofficial CFO for several new business initiatives within the OP Group, Ilari acts as the financial representative for company boards and stakeholders. Previous roles include financial analysis and business impact optimization at Microsoft and controller positions at various technology and service companies. Additionally, Ilari co-founded Kerkkoon Panomiehet Oy, a local brewery noted for its successful beer launch. Ilari holds a Master’s degree in Digital Signal Processing and Business Management from Aalto University and has studied International Business at Montana State University.
