IT Area Lead, Process Automation & Excellence at OP Financial Group

Tommi Kleimola has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and technology. Tommi started their career as a Trainee at Wipro Technologies, where they worked on module testing automation in Nokia DX base station controller environment. Tommi then moved on to Nokia, where they served as a Specialist in Voice Services and later as a System Analyst in IT Service Management tools. After that, they joined Fujitsu Finland as an Architect in Unified Communications.

In 2015, Tommi joined OP Financial Group, where they held various roles. Tommi started as an IT Service Manager for Communication & Productivity Services, where they were responsible for managing group-wide IT services and vendor management. Tommi later became the Head of Digital Workplace, leading a team of IT professionals and overseeing the development and management of digital workplace services for a large number of users across multiple locations. Tommi also led a demanding tendering project as the Lead for Digital Workplace Services Tendering. Currently, Tommi holds the position of IT Area Lead for Process Automation & Excellence, where they lead a team focused on process automation technology platforms, including RPA, RDA, and workflow automation.

Throughout their career, Tommi has gained expertise in areas such as vendor management, IT procurement, contract management, and DevOps pipeline development. Tommi has also demonstrated strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Tommi Kleimola obtained a B.Sc in Telecommunications from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences - SAMK in 2007. In 2022, they enrolled in thePower and pursued a degree in Business and Leadership, which they completed in 2024. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including FinOps Certified Practitioner from The Linux Foundation and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2023. Other certifications include Elements of RPA from Digital Workforce and Introducing Blue Prism from LinkedIn in 2021, among others.
