Joseph Walters has worked in the IT industry for over 13 years. In 2007, they began their career as a Computer Repair Technician at Geek Squad. In 2009, they moved to Consolidated Networks Corporation as a Security Engineer. In 2010, they joined RAYTHEON TECHNICAL SERVICES COMPANY CO LLC as a System Administrator. In 2012, they became a Unix/Linux Administrator at Arcata Associates, Inc., where they led the transition from Solaris to Red Hat Linux for real-time operations. In 2014, they joined ASRC Federal Inuteq as a Sr Linux Administrator and Unix/Linux Administrator. In 2016, they moved to the University of Washington Information School as a System Administrator. In 2019, they joined Premera Blue Cross as a System Administrator IV. Currently, they are a Senior Integration Engineer at Opala, where they are responsible for Terraform IaC, Ansible & Puppet Enterprise, HAProxy Load Balancer, and Jenkins CICD.

Joseph Walters attended Victor Valley College from 2004 to 2006 and earned an Associate of Science (AS) in Computer Information Systems. In December 2006, they obtained a Unix Administrator certification from Victor Valley College. In January 2012, they obtained a CompTIA Security+ ce certification from CompTIA, and in April 2012, they obtained a CompTIA A+ ce certification from CompTIA.
