Sheamus McGovern

Sheamus McGovern has a long and varied work experience in the fields of software development, technology and venture capital. Sheamus began their career in 1998 as a Software Development Consultant at Fidelity Investments. In 2004, they joined Geode Capital Management LTD as the Director of Trading Technology, and was later promoted to Head of Operations and Technology in 2007. In 2010, they moved to Arrowstreet Capital as Manager of Trading Applications Development. From 2012 to 2015, they were the Founder and Chief Software Architect at Startup Code Works. In 2014, they joined Tripod Education Partners, Inc. as Chief Software Architect. In 2021, they were appointed Venture Partner and Head of AI at Cortical Ventures.

Sheamus McGovern received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Boston University, a MLA in Managment from Harvard University, and a CQF in Quantitative Finance from CQF, London UK in 2007-2008.
