Andrea Bassetto

Andrea Bassetto has extensive work experience in the information and communication technology industry. Andrea currently holds the position of Information & Communication Technology Director/CIO at Open Fiber, starting in December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at EBWorld as the COO - Innovation, Development, Delivery from May 2020 to November 2022.

Before joining EBWorld, Bassetto served as the CTO Telematics/IOT at Vodafone Automotive (Vodafone Global Enterprise) from January 2012 to March 2020. In this role, they oversaw the development and operation of M2M service platforms and business support systems, collaborating with notable partners such as Porsche, Audi, Yamaha, Generali, Genertel, Quixa, and Enjoy.

Prior to their time at Vodafone Automotive, Bassetto worked at Fastweb, a Swisscom company, as the ICT Solutions Director/CIO from January 2000 to December 2011. During their tenure, they played a vital role in the development of the first triple-play offer based on voice-data-video over the internet, fiber, and ADSL networks. Andrea also formed partnerships with Telecom Italia, H3G, and SKY.

Bassetto began their career at Sirti S.p.A., a Telco Engineering Company, where they held various roles with increasing responsibilities. From April 1988 to December 1999, they served as the IT Solutions Director, leading the IT department and implementing systems and services for different operators. Andrea gained valuable experience working on major projects for Telecom Italia, subsidiaries, Autostrade-Telepass, Telecom (Italy and Spain), and AT&T Bell Labs (USA).

Andrea Bassetto attended Politecnico di Milano from 1980 to 1988 and obtained a degree in MSEE - Electronic Engineering - Computer science. Additionally, between 1983 and 1984, Andrea Bassetto also participated in the Italian Army 112th Officers Course. No specific degree or field of study is provided for this military training program.
