David McKeever

David Mckeever has a diverse range of experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. David is currently working as a Lead Platform Test Engineer at Open GI, where they are responsible for developing systems to support the business and reduce the cognitive load on the development team. Prior to this, David held various roles at Specsavers, including Security Test Lead, Senior Test Manager, Digital Test Manager, and Senior Test Analyst. In these roles, they focused on building security assurance into the software development lifecycle, managing non-functional testing in the digital space, coordinating manual testing and automation, and integrating automated security vulnerability scanning. Before joining Specsavers, David worked as a QA Engineer at NICE Ltd, where they gained experience in call and CAD integrations, environment management, and networking. David also worked as a Senior BA Test Analyst at Synaptic Software Limited, where they performed business and test analysis for software in the financial services industry. David started their career as a Junior Quality Assurance Analyst at Omnico Group, where they focused on quality assurance analysis for retail software systems, using various testing methodologies. With their extensive experience and expertise, David is well-equipped to handle the challenges of software testing and quality assurance.

David Mckeever obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Ba (Hons) Contemporary Fine Art from the University of Portsmouth between the years 2002 and 2009. David also has additional certifications, including "Hands-on Penetration Testing with PowerShell" and "OWASP Top 10 for Docker Containers and Kubernetes Security" from EC-Council in 2023, "TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF)" from Training Qualifications UK in 2022, and "Professional Scrum Master (PSM1)" from Scrum.org in 2016.
