Kate Johnson

Kate Johnson is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the disability and mental health sectors. As the Chief Executive Officer of Open Minds since February 2022, Kate oversees a dedicated team supporting clients with mental ill-health and disabilities. Prior to this, Kate held the position of Executive People, Safety & Quality at Multicap Limited, enhancing service delivery for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, as Head of People Experience at Endeavour Foundation, Kate played a crucial role in transforming the organization to adapt to industry changes, including a shift to a commercial business model. Kate's career also includes significant experience at Rio Tinto in various human resource roles, where strategic HR initiatives were implemented across multiple operations. Academically, Kate holds a Master's degree in Organisational Psychology and dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Human Resources, complemented by a Graduate degree from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
