Yerden Akashev

Yerden Akashev has held a variety of positions in the business and finance industry. Starting in 2011, they were a Sales Administrator at Philip Morris International. In 2012, they moved to Kazzinc, where they held the roles of Senior Internal Auditor and Senior Budget Analyst. In 2018, they joined Altynalmas JSC as Head of Strategic Development Division, where they supported the development and actualization of Corporate Strategy and Functional Strategies, created resources and reserves forecasting models, and coordinated Strategic Development Projects. In 2020, they became Head of Strategic Planning Division at Kamchatka Gold, RENOVA Group. Most recently, in 2021, they joined UMMC (Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company) as Head of Strategy (Metals and Mining) and Manager, Strategy and Investments. Yerden is currently Business Development Manager at Open Mineral.

Yerden Akashev obtained a Master of Science in Management from the Kazakh-British Technical University between 2017 and 2018. In November 2021, they obtained a Software Product Management Specialization from the University of Alberta. Additionally, in July 2020, they obtained a CIA certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.
