George Rosenfeld

George Rosenfeld currently serves as Chief of Staff for Global Catastrophic Risks at Open Philanthropy since March 2024. Previously, George held the position of Chief of Staff at Effective Ventures Foundation (UK) from November 2022 to December 2023, and worked briefly as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in late 2022. George founded Raise: A Celebration of Giving, which operated from February 2018 to May 2022. Earlier experiences include a Junior Consultant Intern role at Roland Berger in September 2020 and serving as a Policy Advisor for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in 2017. In terms of education, George completed a Henry Fellowship in Social Psychology and Effective Altruism at Harvard University in 2022, and obtained a degree in Arabic, Russian, and Politics from the University of Cambridge from 2017 to 2021. George's educational journey began at the City of London School, where secondary education was completed from 2009 to 2017.
