James Snowden

James joined Open Phil in July 2022. He spent his last 5+ years as a researcher and program officer at GiveWell, where he led the organization’s work on policy and advocacy. Before GiveWell, he worked at the Centre for Effective Altruism as a strategy consultant. He holds a B.A. in philosophy, politics, and economics from Oxford University and an M.Sc. in philosophy and economics from the London School of Economics.
