Kiana Snekcim-Shields

Kiana Snekcim-Shields serves as the People Operations Coordinator for Immigration & Global Workforce at Open Philanthropy since September 2023. Previously, Kiana held roles at the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution, first as Manager of Institutional Giving, where responsibilities included identifying grant opportunities and managing compliance, and as Senior Development Associate, focusing on prospect research and fundraising events. Kiana's legal experience includes serving as a paralegal at Tingen & Williams, PLLC, managing a diverse caseload, and previously working as a bilingual receptionist. Kiana's early career involved educational roles, including Student Relations Coordinator at The Bridge Community Development Corporation and educator at Blue Sky Fund. Kiana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International/Global Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University and has studied at Universidad de Córdoba.
