Maya Brown is a skilled video production professional with extensive experience in various roles within the sports and media sectors. Currently, Maya serves as an In-House Production team member for the Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club and as a Video Editor at Crispy Chicken Social Media Agency. Additional roles include Camera Operator at the University of Portland and On-Call Lead Video Technician & Playback Programmer at Open Signal: Portland Community Media Center, assisting with streams and on-site events. Maya has also worked with the Portland Timbers and served as Broadcast Director for the Portland Pickles Baseball Team, where training interns on equipment setup was a key responsibility. Previous positions encompass show control for the Minnesota Timberwolves, technical director and co-production manager for UTVS Television, and camera operator for SCSU Athletics. Maya holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from St. Cloud State University.
Open Signal: Portland Community Media Center
Open Signal is a nonprofit media arts center dedicated to helping Portland-area people tell their stories. Open Signal recently launched their summer 2017 classes, which put the power of the media in the hands of Portlanders by certifying students ages sixteen and up to borrow equipment for free from Open Signal's media equipment library, which includes video production and animation equipment, cinema-quality cameras and more.
