Barry Varcoe

Barry Varcoe is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in corporate real estate and facilities management. Currently serving as the Global Director of Real Estate & Facilities at Open Society Foundations since December 2017, Barry has held leadership roles in various organizations, including Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, where responsibilities included overseeing Group Services and Corporate Real Estate across multiple countries. Barry also has experience as an Associate Fellow at the University of Oxford's Said Business School, focusing on Enterprise Alignment. As the founder of Real Estate Resonance, Barry leverages a unique combination of industry expertise and research findings to enhance the alignment of corporate real estate functions with organizational objectives. Academically, Barry holds a PhD in Corporate Real Estate from Glasgow Caledonian University and a degree in Building Economics from London South Bank University.
