Samia Huq

Samia Huq is a Professor and Dean of General Education at BRAC University with a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Brandeis University. Samia has extensive experience in teaching courses on religion, Islam, gender relations, and development. Samia has also held roles as a Research Fellow, Chief Academic Officer, and Visiting Scholar at various institutions. Their research focuses on Education, Gender, and Growth in Asia, as well as Faith and Development. Additionally, Samia has worked on projects related to women's empowerment and the impact of evolving forms of Islam on women's lives.
