Cynthia Westmoreland

Chief Operations Officer at Open Source Systems

Cynthia Westmoreland has held a variety of positions since 2007. Cynthia began their career as a Library Stacks Assistant at Emory University, where they learned to properly shelve according to the Dewey Decimal system and alphabetically. In 2011, they became a Student Assistant III at Clemson University, where they were responsible for general lab clean up, organizing the lab, and disposing of hazardous waste. In 2014, they moved to Medical University of South Carolina as an Environmental Health Manager (Internal Titles: Dosimetry Coordinator/Increased Controls Coordinator), where they were in charge of tracking and updating participants for radiation monitoring badges. In 2017, they joined AGEISS Inc. as an Environmental Scientist. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Chief Operations Officer and Open Source Community Manager at Open Source Systems.

Cynthia Westmoreland obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biosystems Engineering, Bioprocessing Emphasis from Clemson University between 2009 and 2013. Cynthia also holds two certifications: Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org, obtained in February 2019, and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance.
