Renato Iten

As Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Open Systems, Renato Iten is responsible for the entire Mission Control organization including SRE teams and operations centers in Europe, the United States and India. The organization manages the complete on-prem and cloud infrastructure of the customer base with over 10,000 systems in 185 countries.

Renato joined Open Systems in 2006 after working as a software developer at a web application startup. After overseeing the Customer Success department for the better part of a decade, he spearheaded Open Systems’ US market entry by incorporating and leading the first US subsidiary in New York City as President and CEO before opening the US headquarters in the Silicon Valley.

Renato holds an engineering degree in computer science from Zurich School of Engineering (Switzerland) and completed postgraduate studies at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and Stanford University (USA). He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ITIL Strategic Leader and active member of FIRST (Forum for Incident Response and Security Teams).
