Evan Morikawa

Evan Morikawa is an experienced engineering manager and member of technical staff. Evan worked at OpenAI in 2020, where they managed engineering and technical tasks. Before that, they worked at Nylas from 2014 to 2020, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, and Senior Software Engineer. At Proximate, where they worked from 2012 to 2014 as a Co-founder & CTO, Evan built a social network analysis platform for event organizers that analyzes LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook. Evan also worked as a Hackstar: Developer in Residence at TechStars and Associate Product Manager Intern at Google. Additionally, Evan co-founded Alight Learning in 2008, where they were the CEO & Co-Founder. Evan started their career with several internship roles at Harvard University, Vision Robotics Corporation, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and Kiva.

Evan Morikawa graduated from High Tech High in 2006 with a High School Diploma, having studied Engineering. From 2006 to 2011, they attended Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, where they earned a BS in Engineering and studied User Experience Design, Computer Science, and Entrepreneurship.
