Gustav von Zitzewitz

Gustav von Zitzewitz serves as a Forward Deployed Engineer at OpenAI since August 2025, previously holding the position of Staff Machine Learning Engineer at DataRobot from November 2021 to August 2025, where leadership in cross-domain projects significantly advanced GenAI products. At DataRobot, Gustav also played a key role as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in developing the GenAI Playground and contributed to enhancing an advanced Auto Time Series modeling engine as a Machine Learning Engineer. Prior experience includes a Software Specialist role at BMW Group, where machine learning skills were utilized to analyze fleet data and improve processes, and a research internship at BSH Home Appliances Group focusing on deep learning for mobile robotics. Early engineering experiences involved contributions to the TUfast e.V. Racing Team and an internship at Porsche. Gustav holds both a Master and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Munich and completed a visiting graduate semester in Computer Science at San Diego State University.
