Karan Singhal is an accomplished professional in the field of artificial intelligence and healthcare technology. Currently serving as a Health AI expert at OpenAI since April 2024, Singhal previously held the position of Staff Research Scientist at Google from September 2019 to April 2024, where notable contributions included co-leading teams in medical AI and leading the Brain Moonshot project for Med-PaLM, a large language model published in Nature. Singhal's early career included roles at Stanford University as both an Instructor, co-founding Stanford’s first AI ethics class, and as a Research Engineer, along with positions at Google, Yahoo!
