Richard Ho

Richard Ho is the Head of Hardware at OpenAI, a position held since November 2023. Previously, Richard served as Senior Vice President of Silicon and Software Engineering and Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Lightmatter from August 2022 to November 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Sr. Director of Engineering at Google from February 2014 to August 2022, focusing on silicon solutions for Google's Infrastructure and Cloud, and as Vice Chairman of the Board at CHIPSAlliance from April 2019 to June 2022, promoting high-quality open source hardware IP. Additionally, Richard contributed as an Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University from April 2018 to November 2019, providing support in Design Verification for VLSI Design. Richard holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University and completed the Technical Management Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management Extension.
