Tianhao Zheng

Tianhao Z. is a skilled machine learning and software engineer with extensive experience in developing advanced training systems and optimizing performance for various applications. Currently a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since September 2022, Tianhao previously served as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Twitter, where notable contributions included building an in-house training system for I/O bound training and improving model training performance for recommender systems. Prior roles at Google involved software engineering responsibilities, including the development of the TensorFlow TPU software stack and optimization of large-scale deep learning systems. Tianhao's career began with internships at NVIDIA and Google, focusing on GPU programming and performance profiling. Tianhao holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Technology from Tsinghua University.
