Wendy Jiao

Wendy Jiao is a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since February 2025, focusing on API development. Prior to this role, Wendy served as a Staff Software Engineer at Notion from February 2022 to January 2025, contributing to the Data and AI Infrastructure team, with expertise in RAG, data lakes and warehouses, streaming and batch processing, vector databases, feature gating, experimentation, and analytics logging. Wendy's earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Amazon from May 2016 to January 2022, where contributions were made as an early member of the Halo Data Platform team, helping to build the platform from the ground up. Wendy holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Nanjing University.
