Xiaohua Zhai

Xiaohua Zhai is a technical professional with extensive experience in the field of artificial intelligence and software engineering. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since February 2025, Zhai previously held the position of Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google DeepMind from December 2017 to January 2025. Prior to that, Zhai worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Google for nearly three years. Zhai holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electronics Engineering and Computer Science from Peking University, obtained in January 2014, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Technology from Nanjing University, completed in January 2009.
