Thomas Chrzastek has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Thomas is currently the Chief Experience Officer at OpenAirlines since April 2023. Previously, they served as the VP Aero Engine & Land Turbine Business Units at Aubert & Duval from July 2017 to April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Air France KLM, where they held various roles including Business Development Director from July 2014 to June 2017, and New Engine Contract Negotiation & Business Development Leader from December 2012 to June 2014. Thomas also completed an MBA program at INSEAD in 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked at Rolls-Royce as a Cost Reduction Team Coordinator for a brief period in 2012, and at Air France as an Engine Product Manager from May 2008 to December 2011. Thomas began their professional journey as a Fleet Support Engineer and later as an Aero-Thermal Engineer at Snecma from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Michigan in 2003 and as an intern at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003.

Thomas Chrzastek has a diverse education history. In 2012, they attended INSEAD and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2004, they studied at the University of Michigan and earned a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. In 2001, they attended ENSTA Paris and obtained a Diplôme d'Ingénieur with a focus on Fluid and Solid Mechanics. Before their university studies, from 1998 to 2001, Thomas attended Lycée Janson de Sailly, where they focused on Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Thomas Chrzastek has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Notably, in 2021, they received a Certificat de design en bâtiments écologiques from Solution ERA. In 2020, they obtained certifications in Management and Distance from ESCP Business School, as well as Wind Energy from DTU - Technical University of Denmark. In 2016, they completed the Innovating in a Digital World certification from Institut Mines-Télécom. Thomas also holds certifications in Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management, Analyzing Global Trends for Business and Society, and On Strategy: What Managers Can Learn from Great Philosophers, all obtained through Coursera Verified Certificates. Lastly, in 2012, they received a Blue Ocean Strategy Certificate from INSEAD.
