Loránd Jakab

Project Technical Lead (PTL) for the LISP Flow Mapping Project at OpenDaylight

Loránd Jakab has worked in a variety of roles since 2002. Loránd started as a Network Technician at Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj-Napoca, where they administered a heterogeneous network of a university campus building with 200+ connected computers running different operating systems. Loránd then moved on to work as a Network and Systems Administrator at Portal Leasing S.R.L. in 2004. In 2008, they became a Senior Systems Administrator at acuista.com. In 2010, they worked as a Research Intern at Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, and in 2011 they were a Research Assistant at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Research Engineer at Cisco Systems, and in 2013 they became the Project Technical Lead (PTL) for the LISP Flow Mapping Project, a Committer for the LISP Flow Mapping Project, and a Technical Steering Committee (TSC) Member at the OpenDaylight Project.

Loránd Jakab's education history began in 1995 when they attended Liceul Teoretic "Andrei Muresanu" Bistrita until 1999. Loránd then attended Technical University of Cluj Napoca from 1999 to 2004, where they graduated with an Engineer degree in Telecommunications. In 2004, they attended Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya for Mobile Networking and then returned to the same school in 2005 to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science, which they completed in 2011.
