Katie Schmidt

Katie Schmidt is a Senior Counsel in Corporate law at Opendoor, a position held since November 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Cooley LLP from April 2022 to October 2023 and at O'Melveny & Myers LLP from September 2019 to April 2022. Katie began legal education as a Legal Writing Fellow at USC Gould School of Law, where a Doctor of Law (JD) was earned in 2019. Additional legal experience includes internships as a Summer Associate and Judicial Extern. Earlier in the career, Katie worked in marketing and communications, holding roles such as Senior Account Executive and Assistant to the CEO/Publisher. Educational background also includes a Bachelor's degree in English and American Literature from NYU, with concentrations in Psychology and Business.
