David Suski

David Suski has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. David is currently employed as a Staff Software Engineer at OpenGov Inc. since September 2022. Previously, from February 2019 to September 2022, they worked as the Chief Software Architect at Logistically - Your Digital Shipping Partner.

Prior to that, they worked at Avalara from May 2017 to February 2019 as a Technical Product Owner/Sr. Software Engineer. During their tenure, they played a key role in the merger of a communications tax company, led the effort to containerize the existing application stack, and participated in high-level architecture design. David also worked closely with the Sr. Director for the communications project and led the hiring and goal-setting for the team.

From December 2016 to April 2017, David served as a Principal Engineer at GymDandy. Before that, they worked at Aver Inc. from December 2015 to December 2016 as a Principle Engineer, reporting directly to the VP of Software Engineering. David was part of the architecture team, responsible for macro-level application architecture and planning. David oversaw the complete upgrade of the internal integration platform and led the engineering effort for the Aver data ingress platform.

David also has experience at FuelQuest, where they worked as a Software Engineer from December 2010 to May 2013. David played a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining their fuel tax application, among other development projects. David also led the project to implement custom paging across the entire application.

In addition, they worked at LIVEyearbook, Inc. as a Software Developer from June 2010 to December 2010, where they worked on an online yearbook building application and designed and implemented various features.

David's early career includes work at Frozen Codebase as a Programmer, where they worked on the iPhone game for the movie Kick-Ass and implemented game systems. David also had an internship as a QA Intern at Frozen Codebase.

Prior to their roles in the software industry, David worked as a Web Site Admin at Graf Creamery Inc. from January 2008 to July 2009.

From 2004 to 2010, David Suski attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. David pursued a double major in Computer Science and Psychology, with a minor in Human Development.
