Michael McDonald

Michael McDonald has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael is currently working at OpenGov Inc. as a Senior Manager, Customer Success Engineering. Prior to this role, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at Cartegraph, where they held two positions: Customer Success Operations Manager and Customer Success Manager.

Before joining Cartegraph, Michael worked at PenBay Solutions as the Director of Product Delivery from 2013 to 2020. Michael was responsible for managing and growing a department that delivered solutions to multiple clients concurrently. Earlier at PenBay Solutions, from 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing the growth of the department and expanding the client base.

Michael's work experience also includes a role as a Project Manager at Penobscot Bay Media, LLC from 2008 to 2009. There, they led various client-facing professional services, software development, and systems integration projects.

From 2002 to 2008, Michael served as a Program Manager at LJT & Associates, Inc. In this position, they partnered with US Navy and other Department of Defense clients for facilities management and public works applications. Michael played a significant role in securing and managing a major contract with the Navy.

Prior to that, from 2000 to 2002, Michael worked at Digex as Manager of Channel Sales Strategy. Michael successfully developed and managed the company's Channel Product Strategy, resulting in increased recurring revenues and new hosting contracts.

Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in customer success, operations management, project delivery, and sales strategy.

Michael McDonald attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Additionally, they have acquired various certifications, including Box.com Essential Training, Innovative Customer Service Techniques, Learning Salesforce, Managing Virtual Teams, Time Management for Managers, and PMP (Project Management Professional), which they obtained in May 2008 from the Project Management Institute.
