Michael Silveira

Michael Silveira has a strong background in software engineering, with their most recent role as a Staff Software Engineer at OpenGov Inc. Michael joined the company in December 2021.

Before joining OpenGov Inc., Michael worked at Lyell Immunopharma as a Software Engineer from April 2019 to July 2020. During their time at Lyell Immunopharma, they focused on developing custom software to support scientists in researching and developing cell-based cancer treatments. Michael designed and built various tools and interfaces, including Capricorn, Dolores, and Dex, to automate and streamline scientific workflows and reduce errors. Michael also mentored junior software engineers.

Prior to Lyell Immunopharma, Michael worked at Roche as a Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer from February 2018 to April 2019. Michael also has experience as a Software Engineer at Station X from July 2016 to February 2018, and as a Frontend Engineer at AnyPerk from August 2015 to April 2016.

Before these roles, Michael worked as a Web Developer at Redbird Advanced Learning from April 2014 to April 2015, as a Frontend Engineer at Versal from February 2013 to December 2013, and as a Software Engineer at GradeCam from October 2011 to January 2013. At GradeCam, they built and developed Insight, the teacher portal for the platform.

Prior to their career in software engineering, Michael gained experience in Developer Relations at MobiHand, Inc. from January 2010 to September 2011 and as a Lab Technician at Chevron Technology Center from June 2008 to May 2009.

Michael Silveira attended San Jose State University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.
