Kevin Dobie began their work experience as an Attaché de presse at Cabinet du ministre délégué aux Affaires autochtones in September 2005, where they worked until March 2007. Kevin then worked as the Director of Communications at Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN) from August 2007 to January 2009. Next, they took on the role of Coordinator, Government Relations at Concordia University from February 2009 to January 2016. Following that, they served as Chief of Staff at RES PUBLICA Consulting group from June 2016 to October 2017. In 2018, they joined McGill University as the Associate Director, Secretariat and held this position until March 2020. In the same year, they took on the role of Co-Chair, Marketing Working Group at OpenHW Group in April 2020. Finally, they are currently working as a Corporate Communications Specialist at CMC Microsystems from March 2020 onwards.

Kevin Dobie has a strong educational background with a focus on business and communication studies. Kevin earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the John Molson School of Business, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication Studies at Concordia University, attending from 1998 to 2001. Before attending university, Kevin obtained a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Liberal Arts from Dawson College in 1997. Kevin completed their secondary education at Loyola High School, obtaining a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) in 1995.
