Tak Chan

Tak Chan currently serves as the Director of Reinsurance & Risk Management at Openly, a position held since June 2023. Prior experience includes a decade at AXA XL from April 2013 to March 2023, where Tak Chan functioned as Head of Analysis and Reinsurance Pricing, notably designing a portfolio optimization model for property catastrophe and developing rapid analytics tools. Between May 2010 and April 2013, Tak Chan worked at AXIS Capital as AVP - Risk Management Actuary, focusing on the development and validation of sub-models for economic capital and creating a D&O catastrophe model. Earlier roles include serving as Associate Actuary at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies, specializing in analytics for workers compensation and actuarial support, as well as working as an Actuarial Analyst at ISO from November 2005 to September 2007.
