Chris O'Driscoll

Chris O'Driscoll has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Chris started their career at Eircom in 2000 and held various engineering roles throughout their tenure. Chris worked as an Executive Engineer from November 2000 to January 2005, where they assisted in the support and design of Eircom's ATM data network. Chris actively procured ATM network equipment, developed commissioning procedures, and engaged with suppliers for new feature rollout. From January 2005 to January 2008, they served as a Design Engineer and was the sole design lead for Eircom's ATM data network. Chris provided 3rd level support and assisted in customer bids for the wholesale and retail sectors. From January 2008 to May 2012, Chris worked as an IP Design & Development Engineer, contributing to Eircom's newly launched services based on next-generation technology. Chris then transitioned to the role of Senior IP Design & Development Engineer from May 2012 to September 2018. In 2019, they joined Openmind Networks as a Software Support Engineer and later took on the role of Service Design Engineer, starting in February 2022.

Chris O'Driscoll has a Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences (Physics & Chemistry) with a 2.1 Degree from Kevin Street DIT. Chris also has a Diploma in Applied Sciences (Physics & Chemistry) from the same institution. In terms of additional certifications, Chris has obtained the CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA. Chris is also certified as an Alcatel-Lucent NRS1 and Cisco CCNA. Additionally, they have the Red Hat Certified System Administrator RHEL 6 certification from Red Hat Inc.
