Takashi Wickes

Takashi Wickes is a seasoned designer with extensive experience in interaction design, currently serving as Founding Designer at OpenStudio since September 2025. Prior to this role, Takashi held several positions at IDEO from June 2018 to September 2025, including Senior Interaction Design Lead in the Play Lab, where projects involved collaboration with major clients like Meta AI, Amazon, Apple, and GE Healthcare. With expertise in prototyping and playtesting using tools such as Figma and ReactJS, Takashi has a strong background in developing innovative digital products and experiences. Previous roles include academic fellowships at IDEO CoLab and a research assistant position at the University of Florida, focusing on human-centered technology in construction. Takashi's contributions to hackathons include co-organizing SwampHacks and founding Florida Hackers, which fostered collaboration among tech students across Florida. Takashi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida.
