Kirill Filimonov

Kirill Filimonov has a diverse work experience, starting with their most recent role as the Senior Director of Engineering at OpenTable since August 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Engineering from August 2020 to July 2022. Before joining OpenTable, Kirill worked as a Senior Engineering Manager from August 2019 to July 2020 and as an Engineering Manager from February 2018 to July 2019. Kirill began their career at OpenTable as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2017 to January 2018.

Before their tenure at OpenTable, Kirill was one of the Co-Founders of 2bsocial, LLC, where they worked from February 2008 to May 2017.

Kirill's early career involved scientific research roles. Kirill served as a Research Scientist at UC Berkeley from March 2005 to January 2016, conducting research in astrophysics with the IceCube project funded by the National Science Foundation. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs from March 2001 to February 2005, focusing on experimental nuclear physics with the STAR experiment at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Kirill also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Heidelberg from January 1999 to February 2001.

Kirill Filimonov earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics from McGill University, where they studied from 1993 to 1999. Additionally, they obtained certifications in "Neural Networks for Machine Learning" and "Machine Learning" from Coursera Course Certificates in the year 2016.
