Tim Hunt has a diverse education history. Tim obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Asian Studies from Brigham Young University in 1987. From 1987 to 1989, they pursued a Master's degree in Computational Linguistics at the University of Utah. In 1999, they attended Salt Lake Community College to study Advanced Mathematics. Later, in 2000, Tim Hunt earned an MBA with a focus on Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Utah. Continuing their education, Tim enrolled in multiple nanodegree programs at Udacity.
