Carlos Krause, CISSP has a long and varied work experience in the field of IT and Security. Carlos began their career in 1998 as a Consulting Manager, Information Security & IT-GRC at MODULO SECURITY SOLUTIONS S/A. In this role, they led the Development and Professional Services teams to successfully design, plan, develop and deliver the desktop and network security project for the Brazilian General Elections on time, under budget and with no security incidents. Carlos also managed multiple information security projects for the second largest Federal Government owned bank in Brazil and defined the Information Security Organization Structure and Strategy for the Brazilian Supreme Court.
In 2007, Carlos moved to MODULO SECURITY, LLC as the Global Director, Professional Services, Information Security & IT GRC and Principal Consultant and Advisor, Information Security & IT GRC. Here, they counseled and advised CISOs and Business Owners on Information Security, Cybersecurity and Integrated Risk Management implementation, management, and automation. Carlos also led and coached technical teams in selling, implementing and supporting premier information security consulting and software products.
In 2016, Carlos moved to SAI Global as the Vice President, Professional Services, IT GRC & Digital Risk. Here, they continued to counsel and advise CISOs and Business Owners on Information Security, Cybersecurity and Integrated Risk Management implementation, management, and automation. Carlos also led and coached technical teams in selling, implementing and supporting premier information security consulting and software products.
In 2018, Carlos joined CORL Technologies as the Director, Client Engagement. In 2021, they moved to Kaseya as the Director of GRC & Privacy. Most recently, in 2022, they joined OpenZeppelin as the Head of IT & Security. OpenZeppelin is the premier crypto cybersecurity technology and services company, trusted by the most used DeFi and NFT projects.
Carlos Krause, CISSP obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from UniCEUB - Centro Universitário de Brasília. In 2001, they obtained the CISSP® (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification from (ISC)2, the MCSO (Modulo Certified Security Officer) certification from Modulo Security LLC, and the BS7799 Implementer certification from BSi. In 2005, they obtained the Modulo Risk Manager™ v5 certified administrator certification from Modulo Security LLC. In 2007, they obtained the CISA® (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification from ISACA. In 2010, they obtained the Modulo Risk Manager™ v7 certified administrator certification from Modulo Security LLC. In 2020, they obtained the Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences certification from LinkedIn.
