Ellen van Engelen

Ellen van Engelen is a seasoned professional in the fashion and illustration industries, currently serving as a Pattern Cutter at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen since May 2025. With a diverse background, Ellen has operated an illustration business since 2005, producing work for prominent publications such as The New York Times and The New Yorker. Previous experience includes roles as a Sample Maker and Seamstress at DRIES VAN NOTEN, and Patternmaker at Janue and Jan-Jan Van Essche. Ellen's educational foundation includes studies at the Royal Academie Of Fine Arts Antwerp and further training at VDAB Turnhout and Syntra Antwerpen en Vlaams Brabant.
