Stefan Matei

Stefan Matei is a Partner at Opera Investment Partners, where Stefan has been since January 2021. Prior to this role, Stefan worked as an Investment Professional in Private Equity at CLEARSIGHT Investments AG from December 2014 to December 2020. Stefan began his career at Citi, serving as an M&A Analyst in the Global Healthcare Group from July 2013 to November 2014, where notable transactions included advising Shire on its $55.2 billion sale to AbbVie and leading other significant acquisitions and IPOs. Earlier, Stefan gained experience as a Summer Analyst at Citi in 2012 and participated in an in-company training at Deutsche Bank in September 2011. Additionally, Stefan worked as an Associate Consultant at JEME Bocconi from October 2010 to June 2011. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Finance from Università Bocconi and a Maturità in Foreign Languages from Liceo Ginnasio "Antonio Rosmini."
