Santoro Carmen

Santoro Carmen has extensive experience in the field of music and opera, currently serving as General Artistic Director for the Belcanto Opera Festival in Japan and as Assistant Conductor at the Opera National de Lyon. In addition to supervising production at the Festival della Valle d’Itria and assisting Maestro Fabio Luisi at the Fondazione Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Santoro also holds positions as Assistant Conductor for OPERA RARA and a vocal coach at The Royal College of Music. Other roles include Personal Assistant to Maestro Fabio Luisi at Opernhaus Zurich and teaching at the Conservatorio di Musica di Parma. Santoro's early career includes serving as Conductor's Assistant, Pianist, and Harpsichordist at the Rossini Opera Festival and as Accompanist and Vocal Coach at the Wexford Opera Festival. Educational credentials include a Diploma in Pianoforte from the Conservatory "U: Giordano" in Italy and studies with M° Antonio Tonini, a former correpetitor of Maria Callas.
