Michael Cobb

Michael Cobb is an experienced conductor currently serving as the Assistant Conductor at Opera National de Lyon and LONGBOROUGH FESTIVAL OPERA since November 2019. Notable achievements include the world premiere of "Shirine" by Thierry Escaich and working on Janacek's "The Cunning Little Vixen" under conductor Justin Brown. Previously, Michael held the position of Principal Conductor with Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra and Associate Conductor for Orchestra Vitae. Education credentials include a Master of Arts in Orchestral Conducting from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and a Bachelor of Music from Royal Holloway, University of London. Additional experience includes roles with the Welsh National Opera, a guest conducting position with North Wilts Orchestra, and a supervisory role at the Foundation for International Education.
