Jacqui Cameron

Jacqui Cameron serves as the Director of Learning & Engagement at Opera North since August 2014, leading the Learning & Engagement team to create participative arts and family performances that foster extraordinary experiences for diverse audiences. Previously, Jacqui held the position of Young Musicians Programme Manager at Sage Gateshead from June 2004 to June 2014, overseeing a comprehensive range of musical activities for young people aged 4 to 19, which included a Centre of Advanced Training and various regional youth ensembles. Jacqui also served as the Youth Ensembles Co-ordinator (Classical) during this time. Academic qualifications include a Diploma in Music Performance from RSAMD (1985-1989), an MMus in Music Performance from the University of Glasgow (1989-1990), and further studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto (1990-1991).
