Opera North
Matthew Pearson is an experienced development and music coordinator with a strong background in arts administration and education. Currently serving as the Development Campaigns Coordinator at Opera North since June 2023, Matthew manages mass fundraising campaigns and has successfully led membership acquisition efforts. Previously, as a Student Music Coordinator at Durham University, responsibilities included supporting numerous music ensembles and organizing professional development events. Matthew also served as an Organ Scholar at St John's College, where performance opportunities included prestigious venues and BBC Radio broadcasts. Additional experience encompasses roles such as Operations Manager for the Chapel Choir, English Language Assistant with the British Council in France, and Secretary for the Durham University Orchestral Society. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and French from Durham University, alongside A Levels and GCSE qualifications from Salesian College Farnborough.
