Opera North
Philip Voldman is an experienced music professional currently serving on the music staff at Opera North since July 2015 and as a freelance music staff member. Since June 2020, Philip has been a visiting coach and pianist at the Royal Northern College of Music and began a role as a visiting instrumental tutor at the University of Leeds in January 2022. Additionally, Philip is a senior lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire and has worked as a freelance repetiteur for various organizations. Notable roles include chief repetiteur for productions at Buxton International Festival and Investec Opera Holland Park, as well as assistant conductor and chorus master for Opera Holland Park. Philip's educational background includes a Master's degree in Opera Repetiteur from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a Bachelor's degree in Piano from the Royal College of Music.
