Armando Tovar

Armando Tovar, Ph.D., LPC-S, currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Divine Mercy University since June 2024 and operates a full-time private practice at Hope and Resilience Trauma Therapy, PLLC as a Licensed Professional Counselor since July 2021, specializing in Accelerated Resolution Therapy and mental health services. Tovar has also provided counseling at the Lone Survivor Foundation since January 2020 and was previously associated with The Menninger Clinic, the Tarnow Center for Self-Management, and Gratia Plena as a Licensed Professional Counselor between 2016 and 2022. Tovar holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella University, completed in May 2023, and earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mental Health and Human Services from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
