Associate Vice President Of Research at Operation Smile

Allyn Auslander, PhD MPH, has a strong background in research and program management. Allyn is currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Research at Operation Smile, a position they have held since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Children's Hospital Los Angeles as a Program Manager from April 2015 to February 2021. In this role, they led a diverse team in various research projects related to surgery in the developing world, including barriers to accessing care, the etiology of cleft lip and palate, nutrition and surgery, and measuring surgical outcomes using technology. Before their time at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Allyn Auslander was a Graduate Student at UCLA from September 2013 to March 2015.

Allyn Auslander, PhD MPH, completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Statistics from the University of Florida from 2008 to 2012. From 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology at UCLA. Continuing their educational journey, from 2017 to 2021, Allyn Auslander obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Epidemiology from the University of Southern California.
