Karen Jaques

Karen Jaques serves as Chairman of the Board at Operation Smile UK since October 2024, and holds the position of Senior Regional Vice President at Operation Smile since July 2021. Previously, Karen was the CEO of Operation Smile UK from January 2016 to June 2021 and worked as a Consultant at Orbis UK for a brief period in late 2015. An interim role as Head of High Value Partnerships for THINK Consulting Solutions occurred in mid-2015. Earlier experience includes serving as Director of Fundraising and Communications at Amref Health Africa from July 2013 to November 2014 and Head of Corporate Partnerships for EMEA at ORBIS UK from November 2008 to May 2013. Karen began a career in Hong Kong as Director at Emergan Investment Ltd from 1990 to 1999. Academic qualifications include a MA in Mediterranean Studies from the University of Exeter and a BA Hons in Geography and History from SOAS University of London.
