The Center for Rural Development
Charley Simpson has been with The Center for Rural Development since December 2004, currently holding the position of Executive VP & CIO. Prior to their role at the center, Charley served as a Captain in the USAF from 1980 to 1987. Charley holds an MBA from Louisiana Tech University, earned between 1983 and 1985, and a BBA from the University of Kentucky, completed between 1972 and 1976.

Established in 1996 through the vision of U.S. Congressman Harold "Hal" Rogers, (KY-05), and other leaders, The Center for Rural Development is a nonprofit organization fueled by a mission to provide leadership that stimulates innovative and sustainable economic development solutions and a better way of life in Southern and Eastern Kentucky.
