Merja Niemi

Merja Niemi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic and policy development, currently serving as a Special Government Advisor at the Ministry of Education & Culture since March 1998. In this role, Merja focuses on management and implementation related to EU Cohesion policy, RRF, governance policy, and sustainable development. Additionally, Merja has been the CEO and Owner of Mahdollistamo oy since October 2014 and is also an author of the book "Mahdollistaja," published by Viisas Elämä Oy in September 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Human Geography from the University of Turku, a Licentiate degree in Economic Geography from Turku School of Economics, and a Certificate in Psychology from Yale University. Further professional development was pursued at the MB Training Academy in 2022.
